I am passionate about transportation and have developed a personal mission around  reducing our cities dependency on automobiles.

With a technical background in GIS and coding fluency, I consider myself a liaison between transportation planning/engineering and Data Science.

Transportation Planner

Mobility Data Analytics

Serve as the power GIS user and in-office data expert for designing and implementing complex transportation planning analyses to forecast travel demand. Work with datasets including mobile location data, census data, regional travel model forecasts, local zoning data, data on the built environment,  GBFS (General Bikeshare Feed Specification) and the Google API.

Multimodal Transportation Planning

Developed strategic plans to improve multimodal transportation access and reduce traffic/parking congestion.

Mobility Tool Development

Developed a series of visualization tools built on RShiny to translate large APC (Automatic Passenger Count)/ AVL (Automatic Vehicle Location) datasets into meaningful actionable data. Merged aforementioned datasets with GTFS (General Transit Feed Specification Data) and mapped data onto an interactive platform that empowers users to understand transit Boardings, Alightings, Passenger Load, Vehicle Dwell, On-Time-Performance, Speed, Travel Time, and Delay.

Transit Operations and Route Planning

Reviewed ridership trends and identified systemwide improvements to minimize service overlap and increase transit network efficiency. 

Transportation Data Migration and Optimization

Developed a series of scripts to translate GTFS to RTC (Rail Traffic Controller) saving hundreds of hours of model development. Wrote additional scripts to randomize, enhance, and summarize data outputs. Developed visualizations to simulate rail activity.

TDM Planning and Policy Development

Helped structure TDM programs for Universities, Hospitals, and Other Institutions. Developed municipal TDM Policies related to real-estate development projects  for communities in New England.
